Heath Rosenblat brings over two decades of experience to his corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation practice. His clients, who include members of every creditor class, receivers, and debtors, turn to Mr. Rosenblat for counsel in a wide range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 proceedings, real estate workouts and foreclosure actions, Trust Indenture Act violations, and breach of contract disputes. Mr. Rosenblat has extensive experience in the courtroom, including a successful federal-jury trial.
Prior to joining Morrison Cohen, Mr. Rosenblat ran his own practice, Heath D. Rosenblat, PLLC, where he focused on restructuring and commercial litigation and served in an outside general counsel capacity, as well as gained invaluable experience in business operations and management. He was previously counsel in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring practices at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and King & Spalding LLP, and an associate at Kaye Scholer LLP. Before his law firm experience, Mr. Rosenblat served as Senior Assistant Counsel in the NY State Unified Court System’s Office of Court Administration, and in law school was a judicial intern with The Honorable Lawrence E. Mooney in the Missouri Court of Appeals in St. Louis. Mr. Rosenblat was an adjunct professor at St. John’s University School of Law from 2009 to 2017, where he taught a bankruptcy practice litigation seminar. He frequently writes on restructuring and Chapter 11 matters in national law publications such as American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and The New York Law Journal.
