Dov Shapiro’s career spans the educational, financial, and real estate worlds and his diverse experience has enabled him to balance the various needs of a growing real estate acquisitions and management firm.
After seven years in the field of education, first as a teacher, and then as a high school principal, Dov left academia and began his business career. After earning his M.S. in accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University, he joined Price Waterhouse Coopers in NYC, specializing in private equity fund audits. His confidential client list included private equity funds held and managed by some of the nation's largest banks and investment firms. In 2013, Dov, a New York State licensed C.P.A., assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer of Broad Management Group. Under his leadership, Broad has grown from a portfolio of 1,000 units to the 9,500 units currently under management. As Broad’s management portfolio grew, Dov assumed the additional role of C.O.O., responsible for the operational management of Broad’s entire portfolio.
Since 2017, Dov has been involved in new acquisitions. In this role Dov has developed BMG’s underwriting protocols and processes, built diverse business models for various types of acquisitions and management strategies, and developed a proprietary software application utilized in due diligence research of new acquisitions under contract.
Dov’s diverse range of Human Resource experience, financial acumen, and real estate management expertise has helped Broad Management Group create and execute the firm’s ambitious vision for future growth.
